Class Participation (5%)

Involves responding to 75% of the questions during lectures with the clicker.

Homework Assignments (25%)

There will be six programming assignments, assigned every one or two weeks.

Midterms (35%)

There will be two closed-book, pencil-and-paper midterm exams, each worth 17.5% of the grade – to be held during lecture on on Tu 1/30 and Th 2/22.

Cheat Sheet You may bring a “cheat sheet” comprising a single letter-sized sheet of paper (you can use both sides if you wish.)

Final (35%)

The closed-book, pencil-and-paper final exam will be held on Tu 3/19 from 11:30–2:30pm.

Piazza (+5%)

Extra credit for top-20 best participants in Piazza discussions, determined by the instruction team.

NOTE: All the exams must be taken on the announced dates and times.
